Are you looking for a way to get some great ideas for your classroom in the area of educational technology?
If so, check out my new channel 808Edtech!
I know teachers are extremely busy and they don’t have a lot of extra time to research new tech for their classroom. Therefore, all the videos on 808 EdTech will try to stay within the 5 min mark in length. There may be certain times where this might be broken but I want to keep the videos short and to the point. Second, teachers also want a source for edtech tools that is going to promote only those tools that will be most useful and have been vetted by some systematic method. Most of the apps I will introduce will be vetted against multiple theories and frameworks of strong pedagogical practices. You can be rest-assured if it makes it on my channel, it is going to promote a more innovative and relevant educational experience for your students. Never use tech for tech’s sake! Third, I hope to use this channel to help promote a strong understanding of innovative teaching practice which help educators meet the ever changing needs of our technological world. Therefore, some videos will not have a specific tech tool focus but one of an educational philosophy or innovative teaching practice. I might even rant about things that I feel are of importance. I invite you to join in the conversation in the comments of the videos and let me know areas of interest you would like to see videos on. It is my hope that 808 Edtech becomes a reputable source for teachers everywhere in the area of innovation in the classroom.
As a special addition to 808edtech each video will end with some awesome video footage of the beautiful scenery of Hawaii and the musical talents of Mr. Dagan Bernstein.
If you hurry you can even enter to win some great teacher tech! Enter contest below!
